SWM5100 | Social Work: Fields of Practice | Management

Task description
Background
As a social worker, it is important to be able to view complex problems from a number of view points, including the perspective of the client. Working through the questions below will help you to apply some of the ideas from lectures and tutorials to a real-world challenge.
There are no right or wrong answers. Your responses should be grounded in what you have learned in lectures, tutorials and through your readings and own research. Thus, the answers are not necessarily given in the clip; instead the clip provides a stimulus from which you can demonstrate what you have learned over the last four weeks.

Portfolio | Research

Assignment-1 Portfolio by Critical Reviews
You will develop a portfolio of resources by writing five critical reviews.  A critical review requires you to summarise and evaluate an article, and find additional articles to support your evaluation.  Each critical review should include an introduction, a summary, a critique, a conclusion and references.  Each critical review should be 400-500 words.  The articles to evaluate will be provided on the unit website.

Project Outline and Topic Presentation | Management

Assignment Task 1
You should choose your own project topic and then briefly write a problem statement followed by aim, objectives, sources of secondary data and a brief methodology of the project. In addition, as a part of topic presentation, all on-campus students are required to discuss their project topic and ideas during the tutorial sessions in front of other students. You are also expected to provide constructive feedback on one of your classmates’ project.  Please see details in the course profile.
