Assignment 1 (25 marks, world limit 1500 words)

Part A (Planning)

In this part of the professional business report, you must at least cover the following points adequately:

• Provide the brief background;

• Identify the need for changes;

• Internal/external change drivers / influencers and assessments;

• Develop a current state of the organization; and
• Develop a future state of the organization;

Part B Strategic Planning)

In this part of the professional business report, you must at least cover the following points adequately:

• Articulate and identify the way to move from the current state to the future state;

• Alignment with the organisation’s existing business processes and strategies;

• Strategic plan / conceptual design / Business case;

• Descriptions and justifications of the solution design;

• Description strategies of Customer Journey;

• Adoption and change management;

Assignment 2 (30 marks, world limit 2000 words)

This is a follow up from Assignment 1. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) has approved your business report and strategic plan and they have now asked you to provide a professional report on the “Implementation” aspects of the project.

Implementations

In this professional business report, you must at least cover the following points adequately:

• Description and justification of Information Architecture;

• Technology architecture;

• Work breakdowns and work package decomposition;

• Sequencing of activities and timeline;

• Identification of critical success factors (CSF);

• Governance – Stakeholders Management; and

• Governance – Costing and Budget Management.

• Pre-implementation plan and strategies; and

• Post-implementation plan and strategies.

Other requirements for all the above assignments

• You have the freedom to use any business report-writing format of your choice, as long as the report is professional and presentable.

• The word count allows for a variation of 5%. The markers will stop reading beyond this.

• You assume the responsibility to ensure the report you are producing is of high quality, including plagiarism and collusion checks. You do NOT need to produce a plagiarism report with the assignment. However, the markers will undertake these checks (using any tools that you have access to), and if any integrity issues are found you will be awarded a score of zero and the work will constitute

‘Academic Misconduct’.

• The assignment submission website will be closed after five working days so that the assignments can be distributed to markers.

• Any queries regarding these assignments will be closed two working days before the submission date.

• Email submission will NOT be accepted in any circumstances.

• The entire report including appendices must be packaged as one single PDF file and then submitted.

Submission

Assignment 1, & Assignment 2 are an individual submission. You are asked to submit the assignment simply though the link provided through the course website.

You are encouraged to discuss the assignment solution path with others to improve your understanding and clarify requirements but you should develop the solution to the assignments on your own.
